I was actually looking at Christmas Story board to see what other movies "Ralphy" has played, and found this "gem" which has a 3.8 rating.

Honestly I've never watched it all the way, but remember it being on TV about 10+ years ago.

Is the movie overall really that bad that it has a 3.8?

Who gives their kid $100 for lunch every day?

I'm not sure how long IMDB has been around, but I have been a registered user since '02 and if I have the very first post for the movie then it probably deserved a 3.8 rating.....

I have seen this movie several times already and thought that it was not a bad movie to watch at all. I did not know that this was on the show USA UP ALL NIGHT which use to be on the USA Network back in the day when the programming was a heck of a lot better than what is now!

I have seen this movie several times on a station out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin called CW18. It is not really that bad of a movie to be honest with you.

It's not that bad, but it's not that great either. It's pretty much the standard late-'80s spoof of Beverly Hills society, with a rather tired kidnap plot. "Ruthless People" covered this type of material much better.

Peter Billingsley is the highlight of this film, but he's not given very good material here.

I paid a buck for this film, and that seems about what it was worth. I'd give it 6/10 stars, but it's a very weak 6.
