Sorry Kafka. This will upset you. I have just given it a 4 out of 10. For me, the events unfolded at a snails pace. Mentally, I switched off at times so I was left scratching my head at some of the events as I couldn't fathom how they had occurred. If I can switch off during a film I know I have not enjoyed it. I was very disappointed especially as it's critically acclaimed. Clearly, I don't associate with Hou because I didn't enjoy the only other film of his I have seen which is Three Times. I am going to watch The Puppetmaster but I cannot see me actively pursuing any of his other films.
