I read once that Michelle showed interest in the part of Vicki Vale but at the time she was dating Michael Keaton.
He apparently didn't want her to audition. I can't actually remember what his reasons were or if they were valid.
But i guess it all worked out in the end because if she was Vicki Vale - she would never have taken on the iconic role of "Catwoman" which she was brilliant as!
Besides, i liked Kim as Vicki.
She was considered as well as many every actress in Hollywood at the time.
shareAs was proved in the sequel Michelle was, and is, a terrific screamer. So I think that she would have made for a great Vicki.
However I don't see her with the long hair that Kim has in Batman.
And I love Kim as Vicki anyway.
The Burton/Schumacher Batman franchise were fortunate to have two of the hottest and most charismatic actresses of their generation appear in these films.
Funnily enough, I read that Kim wanted to play Catwoman, so we could have had a franchise in which Kim and Michelle's roles were reversed. That said, I couldn't see Kim as Catwoman or Michelle as Vicki.

shareBasinger, Pfeiffer and Stone were the three hottest blonde film stars of that era. Still, I think she'd have been better as a more villainous character. I'd probably have kept Basinger as Vale, Pfeiffer as Catwoman, and then cast Stone as someone like Poison Ivy.
