So, to the brave and few that have watched this both in French w/ subtitles as well as in dubbed English, which is more enjoyable? Normally I'd just assume that the original w/ subtitles would be the way to go, but the fact that Gary Oldman does the English voice over has scrambled my priorities.
Mine is dubbed, and IMO, the best part of it is Gary Oldman's voice, if that's really him. I imagined myself watching Session 9 and I enjoyed the hell out of this one, lol. The movie is actually better than I'd expected.
...a little fantastic, and fleeting, and out of reach.
I'm french so I've only watched it in french. I wondered how this movie could be understood by french learning people because it's a very "realistic" french that is used (maybe a bit 90's) I just love these quotes If you're studying french try to listen to it and see if you can understand
I only watched the French version, and despite not getting most of it (my French is only rudimentary) I really liked the 'tone' of the conversations between the mother and... whatever it is inside of her. In general I prefer to hear the real voices of the actors... reading subtitles is a small price to pay. Having said that though, based on what I read here I think I'll go back and watch the dubbed version now... though I'm still doubting there's any Gary Oldman going on.
I just watched the dubbed version, and it's absolutely horrible, as dubbed versions usually are. I didn't realize it was Gary Oldman's voice until now.
