Did anyone see this movie before Sandler was on Saturday Night Live?

Anyone?

Lovitz and Sandler were on together for a while.

My bet is this movie wasn't mass produced until Sandler became famous. But then you never know.

Believe it or not, I actually saw this movie at a theatre in Norwalk, California in 1990. It was a second-run movie house and the manager told me he booked the film as a favor to a friend. At the time, the title was "The Unsinkable Shecky Moskowitz." I recognized Sandler at the time I watched it since I was a fan of Remote Control on MTV where he was one of the supporting cast members. It is what it is; a low-budget comedy short on production values.

Short on comedy, too.

I saw it on USA Up All Night in the early 90's. It was called Babes Ahoy then and I believe Burt Young was billed before Adam Sandler in the credits. I remember watching it and thinking it was a typical lame, low-brow comedy of the late 80's that was meant to play as cheap fodder for late night cable. I did remember Adam Sandler as being a likable leading man in it, and watching SNL years later I remembered him from this movie. Funny, I was thinking he regressed on SNL since here he acts more or less straight, lol.
