I've seen Troll 2 and that is a hundred times worse than this movie. Sandler definately puts in a lot of effort into his role. Pity theres no obvious funny lines in it.

In my opinion its not the second worst film ever.

The worst movie ever made was Pearl Harbor. To me, this movie is in my top 15!

I thought Troll 2 was extrmeley bad but I don't see why so many people think it's the worst movie ever made. I think there are a lot more deserving candidates.

Me and my friend found this movie on VHS once, we gave it a shot and turned it off after about 15 minutes. We tried watching a few more times later and I started to think of it as kind of a challenge to see if I could sit through the whole thing. We would try to go a little longer than the last time, like training for a marathon. I'm really not sure if we ever finished it, or if there was any kind of ending, I think my brain actually shut itself off as a defense mechanism while watching this.

Troll 2 is so bad, that it's almost impossible to describe just how bad it is to someone who's never seen it. On the other hand it's extremely entertaining. It's not painful to watch like Going Overboard. It's highly quotable, and makes a great party movie.

I bought it off ebay just to see what adam sandlers movies were like back then. I would probably rate it 3/10 just coz its quite random and doesnt really have a point to it but I wouldnt say it was the worst movie ever. It is at least watchable - there are much worse movies like Napoleon Dynamite. Also it looks like its the 2nd thing he's acted in so you cant expect it to be great. I wouldnt reccomend buying it but if you like sandler you might want to watch it even though its not that funny.

Troll 2 was ahead of the curve, you all will some day kowtow in the presence of its blinding brilliance.

This *ain't* that bad

while i agree it's not THAT BAD (as in 1/10), i would still say it's quite bad to the point it's EASILY Sandlers worst film as i just seen this a few moments ago but prior to seeing this... his worst film was 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan' but out of his 'professionally made' films that's still the worst. but overall this Going Overboard is hands down his worst film by a landslide.

for the record i am a fan of Sandler but this film is a joke and i can't believe he even was in this. the best part of seeing this film is it's cool to see Sandler so young (i.e. he's around 22-23 years old). but i do think some of the stuff in this film keep your attention a little bit (but about 99percent of the stuff aint even funny but some of it is almost funny) but overall the film is quite bad, but it's not 1/10 bad, as i only give out 1/10's to films i hate (i.e. Borat) which it's pretty rare if i actually hate a film.

all in all... i give it a 3/10. as later in the film i started skipping ahead back to when Sandler was on screen because without him it gets real bad at times and when he's on screen it's at least tolerable for the most part.

p.s. it was also cool to see Billy Bob Thornton to in this.

On a football team trip to Mobile from Virginia, our entire team voted unanimously for two hours of silence over having this film play in the background. It is THAT bad. I wish I had some witty remark for this film, but sadly........that first sentence says it all.

Is it "that" bad? At a score of 1.9 out of 10, does anyone really have to ask? It is the only film I have tried to watch 4.......count it "FOUR" times and have yet to get all the way through. It is plays a cruel trick on you. You sit down and watch and think, "This film sucks". Some time passes and you think back "Maybe it wasn't as bad as I recall". It is. I rank it just below "Wendigo" for crappy films of all time.

It's interesting how they kinda admit the movie is bad upfront and spend parts of the movie making fun of how bad of a movie they are making. Given that I think you have to give at least a 3 rating.

never understood the hate for this movie. i've seen much worse. this is just lame, which seems to be the comedy norm these days anyway. i can actually watch this all the way through. hell, i'll even take this movie over what sandler has been putting out the last couple years
