One word 'Brian chainsaw'

When that chainsaw started and brians jawls started quivering with that classic zoom in on his face was just classic, and then after the chainsaw stops and he says " it started by itself". The sister is also funny when the repair guy comes over and she says whats there to do in this town and he's idiotically says "Bowling" and she says "bowlings sounds like fun" then his hand gets mangled in the garbage disposal with that classic shoot of his face while blood slatters on his face. But, overall Brian makes this movie hilarious with his chainsaw sounds, oh you know what im talking about " nu, nu, nu, nu, nu".

This is the late 80's you're talking about. Bowling was all there was.

ya, and what more is there to go out and do now then bowling.

Brian is the star of this movie and made me laugh more than anything else.

The chainsaw scene was fantastic. Another was the look of distress on his face as he scratched his head and waited for his Mum in his sister's room.

But, the pinnacle was definitely when he opens the attic door and the maid's body slumps out. Pure gold.

By the way, "Brian chainsaw" is actually two words?

that part was seriously hilarious when brian was playing with the chainsaw and it went off. then the old ladies and sister runs down the stairs to see what's happening and the old lady picked up a metal bar and stopped the chainsaw from going off, lol that was freakin' hilarious. his grandmother blamed him by saying he switched it on, lol that was my favorite part in the movie and yes i also liked the repair man scene haha!!!

Brian getting excited over an unplugged chainsaw right before the chainsaw terrorizes the family is one of the best scenes ever filmed in B movie history! People rate this movie low because it's more like The Mangler or Maximum Overdrive (both Stephen King, I believe) rather than an Amityville movie.

Also note the Children of the Corn (also Stephen King, with Linda Hamilton) reference with the blood girl drawing violent pictures with crayons. Ahhhh, those 1980s appliance horror and scary blond children with knives trends!

I was wondering if there was a stunt double. Some of those shots were just from the back and the hair looked darker than Brian's.
