I did, accidentally. My parents mixed up the movie times for The Little Mermaid, and we wound up at All Dogs Go to Heaven instead. My disappointment was acute, and the fact that ADGTH seemed weird and scary to me at the time did not help. I've honestly never seen it again, so maybe I should see if my opinion has changed since I was 6.

I did and I was born in 1980 so I think I was 8 or 9 as well. I saw the Little Mermaid soon after and was wondering why ADGTH wasn't getting as much credibility as other great cartoon films then I realized this wasn't a Disney movie.

Cool Shaggy but why the hell do people think everything cartoon is disney? is it cause Disney established animation or what? other companies have done it before Disney came along.

I saw Little Mermaid in theaters too when i was 8 3 times and loved it too, i had a crush on Ariel.

I haven't seen this movie in theaters, as I was born 1992, but you know what? The OP has a very good point. Just because something isn't made by Disney, that doesn't automatically mean it's worth forgetting!

I know there have been plenty of lame Disney knock-offs during the 90's (The King and I, Quest for Camelot, Thumbelina, etc.), but personally, I think this is one of the best (and most underrated) Non-Disney movies.

I was born AFTER its initial release, too (albeit 1992), so no I did not see this film in theaters... However, this film, though MORESO "All Dogs Go to Heaven 2", are enjoyable enough now...

reply

No, but I remember the TV spots.

reply

I didn't. I was born during the theatrical run.
