made in 1990?!?!

I saw a bit of this movie for free on In Demand and figured, surely this must be a 70s or 80s film judging by the poor film quality..then according to IMDB it was made in 1990?!? did they intentionally use old cameras or something? Not that it matters either way, this movie is a piece of *beep* but good for a laugh.. like someone else said, if MST3000 was still around this would be great material for them.

I thought it was 80s so low-budget 1990 would be about right. The hairstyles and some of the clothes made me think early to mid 80s not 1990.

There must be some mistake. They've got Joe Pilato (who had co-starred in Day of the Dead and thus became a horror icon) playing the role of Tech #2. If this were really made in 1990, he would've had a much larger role than Tech #2. I'm guessing it was made before 1985 (since Day of the Dead was released in 85). If nothing else, maybe it was filmed in the 80's and didn't get released til 1990, which still seems odd.

The prison footage looks older, but maybe that's because it uses sets that were cribbed from other productions...
