The Abyss AKA oi mate its a bit wet down there (1989) - review

SPOILERS

-this film begins with a nuclear submarine sinking
-i didnt know a sub could technically sink
-i thought if you found one at the bottom of the sea then they'd just be "lower" than they were previously
-anyway a team of highly paid actors are chosen to investigate the sub
-they are led by ed harris aka angry bald Mcbaldface
-so some stuff happens and u find out within like 20 minutes that aliens live underwater
-but they're really nice and stuff
-so yeah more big budget stuff happens and the guy from terminator tries to blow everyone up
-for like no reason
-this crazy bastard tries to blow the aliens up with a nuke
-imagine it being proven beyond a shadow of a doubt
-that aliens not only exist but are here and even have like great personalities and stuff
-and your first response is to start a nuclear war with them
-in your own back garden no less
-frankly im telling you this whole mental illness thing has gone too far
