Dawson doesn't actually die. He's the one who breaks his arm helping Cat rescue Bud. We seem him on radio toward the end of the film. Finler drowns along side McWhirter and Dietz. And Perry dies when the crew quarters flood, though I think this scene is sometimes deleted from the TV cut. It's clear on the Director's cut and there is a scene later when they find his body with a remote sub. The only other fatality (in the crane scene, besides the unamed operator) is the seal who drowns (Schoenick, if I recall) when the sub lands on him. Monk is injured by the door hitting him (which looks like it should kill him but only breaks his leg).
