In all the titles on the posters here it's "Charlie" not "C".

"Charlie" is the radio phonetic for the letter "C"

Yes, but I meant the official title.

It's spelled as a single letter, but pronounced as the phonetic alphabet letter.

Thus you describe an infantryman in writing as an "11B", but call them an "Eleven-Bravo".
