I am probably going to offend someone but...

I used to be addicted to this show. I watched the originals with my Dad when I was really little, then picked it up again when Hallmark aired them.

I even have the first season on DVD, and I am really hoping for the second season (which I think was the best).

However, I picked my DVD set up recently and watched a few episodes...only to notice something...

GASP...

KID FANS, turn away NOW....LOU Fans, too...

Kid was kind of annoying. He was almost too perfect, especially in episodes like "A Good Day to Die."

He always came off as noble and, well, perfect...I almost couldn't finish watching it.

Anyway, start throwing stones...I can take it...

Where the HELL is my PUGIL STICK? I mean, it isn't like I can stick it in a drawer or something.

I was a HUGE fan of the show, but all the actors needed riding lessons. Especially Kid. In the opening scene he's hitting the saddle so hard that his horse is actually gasping for air! Their stunt riders were great and Anthony Zerbe wasn't too bad.

I agree Kid could get annoying fast. I always wanted Lou to be with Jimmy. That seemed a better fit.

Kid always reminded me of Scott from The X-Men. The do-gooder, kind of boring and self righteous. The ultimate/true hero...a real boy scout

That being said, I still liked all the characters. I'm just watching S1 now and they're all great, especially Ike (adored him).

To be honest the character that annoyed me the most was Cody but I still liked him.

Agreed that Kid is too good. But I still love him, even though he is a bit self-righteous. He's real cute ;)

I agree though, the most annoying one is Cody, but yeah I still like him most of the time...`

I agree to everything that's already been said. I don't think that Kid is that annoying but he is a bit at times.

Not annoying, IMO, but not interesting, either. And Lou was a straight up b!tch. Kid: "Are you ok? I was worried!" Lou: "Leave me alone! I can do everything a man can do and you're smothering me!"

Personally I never liked Kid. My favorites were Buck and Ike. I still cry when I watch the episode in which Ike dies. Why did they have to kill him off! I think Lou should have ended up with Buck.

Me, too, i loved Ike. And Kid was just straight-up irritating! So self-righteous and whiny that i wanted to smack him constantly.
