I'm right at the part where Noah shows up ... Where are the Sheriff and Emma ??? Are they coming back? I'm mad !!!

It is explained in that Episode when Noah is introduced. Sam got job in another town and Emma went with him. I think they married, though you dont see it. They never come back.
