My Brother's Keeper (title?) VS Stuck on You

I re-watch "My Brother's Keeper" episode and I just realized that the story somewhat similar to "Stuck on You" movie. Even some scenes in the movie are like a copy from the MBK. Like the bed scene, the bar scene, the dancing scene, etc.
What do you think? Are the "SOY" movie maker inspired by this episode?
