cussing on the very first show? please help!

on the episode entitled "the bird! the bird!" the show with nicole eggert, in the live action sequence at the very beginning called "neatness counts" or something, luigi points out to mario that he has spaghetti on his shirt and mario replies with what sounds exactly like "well, *beep* you luigi!". does anyone know about this? i just saw the new dvd and we rewound it 1000 times and watched it, and we can't figure out any other possible thing it could be. please help! if you haven't seen it, it's hilarious.

reply

Are you sure he just doesn't say: "Well, thank you Luigi!

reply

I think Sunstar's right. Besides it's Luigi that has the spaghetti sauce on his shirt! Mario just had a little piece of spaghetti on his overalls as Luigi said on the show. But what really concerns is in the seventh episode "The Great Gladiator Gig" with the live action "Bonkers From Yonkers" Luigi accidently hits Mario with a pipe and he thinks he's a bird, then later a chicken and then a monkey. Which by the way, if you watch be ready he makes the most annoying bird, chicken and monkey sounds, but it's funny too. But the point I'm trying to make is that when Luigi calls the doctor and before he notices Mario thinks he's now a chicken, instead of a monkey. It sounds like Luigi's "Oh Go* Thanks Doctor what a relief!" Like he said the lord's name in vain. If anyone else watches this and notices it and hears the same thing or hears him say something else. Let me know. Thanks.

I haven't seen the show you're talking about recently, but he may have said "Gosh", however, I don't doubt he said "God", it was the 80s and kid's tv was much less censored than it is today. Go 80s. Although my CCD teacher told me that sayign "Oh God" or "Oh my God" wasn't really taking the lord's name in vein. Now if Luigi had belted out "Jesus Christ!" then we might have something on our hands.

I didn't think the producers, directors, writers...etc wouldn't let them. But I have a feeling that in the 63rd episode, where Luigi is polishing and cleaning Boots as a present for Mario. I think I heard him say "Go*, I wish, I could afford a better present!" go to http://tv.yahooligans.yahoo.com and click on the episode Star Koopa and it is in part 1, and it comes very early. Just listen to Luigi, and tell me what you think he says.

Now come on, I know he didn't say that at all!

No on this one episode where they encounter a gorrila on the live action sequence im pretty sure there are a couple of bad things. First of all Luigi does something that looks like hes doing it to the air and he says All the plumbers and plumbettes are gonna be gettin it on tonight and it plays the mushroom growing sound. Then when Mario looks to see if Luigi is in the gorilla im pretty sure he says Oh go* phew do something about that breath. its not bad its just what if thats the reason it went off the air.

reply

I thought Mario just said to him "Oh, you better do something about my breath!" You can check it out on http://tv.yahooligans.yahoo.com. Just click on the mario cartoon thing, and it will give you a list of episodes, click on the second one from the top. "Red Baron Koopa", then watch part 1, and then you can find out what he said. Now, I don't know if that's where you heard it, if you watched it. But I'm just pointing it out to anyone else, that's interested to listen, to see if they can find out what he said, or what they think he heard him say.

It sounds like Mario says the f bomb, Maybe the editors didn't notice it due to the laugh track.

reply

or maybe you think it sounds different than what he actually said due to the laugh track.

Then what did he actually say? Doesn't sound at all like he said "thank you". I'm pretty sure he says *beep* you".

This wasn't on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! But this was on an episode of Club Mario! They were having an are you bogus guess, and im pretty sure I heard Tommy Treehugger said "I swear to Go*." When he was telling CO-MC that it was the real Joe Piscopo, guest starring.

Well it's not just me, look at MarioFreak7777 he wrote it the same exact way. I mean its only bad if they take the lord's name in vain. If they don't and say his name to like ask him for help or something then, It's not bad. Sometimes, when I'm talking I do say his name, because it's not bad, if you're talking to him, its only bad if your taking it vain, thats why it was in bad, he took it a vain and it was on a children's show too.

Episode 3, King Koopa calls Mario, "pasta puss"

later Mario is reffering to Koopa as "water douche"

reply

FAKE- "pasta puss" is just name calling, and mario said, water loose.

reply

I think it's quite obvious he says "Well thank you, Luigi..." but it's a little distorted with the laughter track, and of course Mario's accent. It is quite funny to watch.

I'm leaving you, Jerry. I'm leaving you - and I'm taking the monkey with me.

reply

No. He says "Well F you Luigi." Slow it down. Look at the way his lips move. He's definitely not saying "Thank you".

Also, Capt. Lou did not have much of an accent when he did this show. More noticeable is Danny Well's accent. His pronunciation of "Mario" sometimes sounds like Mary-o. That's due to his Canadian accent. I think he also says "pasta" like a Canadian too; Past-uh.

FAKE, there is only childish name calling (see the parent guide) especially in the live action segments, so kill urself
