The Ones that use Jurassic Park and Avatar or any non horror movie Sucks use a old Horror movie or a The Twilight Zone episode I also wish they would make Two Halloween episodes so the number would add up with the seasons
shareThe last T o' H that was any good was the one with the Charlie Brown parody. That one was a hoot worthy of the first 10 seasons.
shareBTW, I read that they wanted to do the Grand Pumpkin for years but couldn't get Guaraldi to sign off on the music. Without the traditional music, the episode wouldn't have achieved greatness.
But the delay explains why this was so good; it was written years ago..
I don't even know the last time a Treehouse Of Horror has even been good. Like, it should be relatively easy to just spoof the most recent horror film, or to throw these eccentric cartoony characters into some wacky yet horrific scenario. I can come up with funny ideas for parodies of A Quiet Place, Get Out, The Witch, It Follows, Hereditary, The Conjuring, The Purge, Babadook, and plenty of others, and I'm just some guy. I imagine pedigree writers who are getting paid to come up with ideas could definitely come up with stuff leagues better than my ideas. They did Split, but I haven't seen it so I can't judge it, but at least they did an actual horror film again.

shareTreehouse of Horror XXIX was a train wreck... I somewhat liked "Geriatric Park" but otherwise the episode felt too long and tedious.
