This show is magical (at least all the seasons that took place in the 1990's)

Definitely my favorite show ever. I first watched the Simpsons as a kid. The show is so funny, enlightening, great, everything etc. I can also revisit episodes, they're very re-watchable. Can't do that with other shows. I think the Simpsons also has a good balance of appealing to both kids and adults, that is a rare ability. I can also say that I identify with each of the Simpson family members.

I agree with you. But after season 20, the show just got mediocre.

I think for me the show became completely unwatchable during season 16. There's not one episode I like in that season. The animation took a bad turn in the early 2000's as well. I hate it. It's nauseating. The animation of the early episodes was more charming and upbeat. I feel like the modern animation is trying too hard.

A few good episodes are sprinkled in seasons 11-15, but that's it. Season 12 got really weird. There was a lot of dark episodes in that season, lol. 1) The Simpsons were drugged up to an island and the ending just left them there. 2) Homer manages to raise his intelligence but chooses to go back to his old self. 3) Homer and Bart become con artists. 4) Bart and his friends become a boy band whose songs have subliminal messages about joining the Navy? Lol. 5) Praiseland was also a weird episode. Although, season 12 probably had the last decent Sideshow Bob episode.

I remember the Treehouse of Horror where they used the Y2K theory scare as a plot device. It happened for real, in a way, to the show. The Simpsons went dim in the 2000's.
