I want to buy the whole series of Mr. Bean but I've held off on the "Whole Bean" DVD boxset released by A&E because it had scenes cut out. I've heard about a PAL Region 2 boxset available UNCUT/UNEDITED...is this true?
Can someone who owns this Boxset actually confirm that nothing is cut out?

I come from the UK. There is no such thing as a Mr Bean Region 2 boxset. In the UK it's out on dvd in parts but the dvd's are crap because they only bring out one a year and they are only on the second dvd. The price is awful and they have only got 3 episode's on each dvd! My opinon get the Region 1 even though it's cut it's better than the Region 2! I'm geting the Region 1 dvd boxset for my Christmas because the dvd is so bad here in the UK.

The Austrailian DVD release IS CUT, when comparing some episodes with the vhs tapes (after seeing that the chair sabotage was cut from "Do it Yourself Mr.Bean") I also found some segments of "Back to SchoolMr.Bean" That were cut, like after Bean tricks the guys into pushing his car for him and he hides behind a wall and starts taking the mic out of them, thats all that happens on the australian release, but on the vhs, some soldiers started marching towards him and Bean was getting incredibly spooked about it.
Also after that guy is drawing something, and Bean starts taking the mic by "Pretending" to sneeze, there is also a bit after that scene cut where someone is bulding a model and has just added the final touches to it, Bean then passes that guy a lit match and the person building the model nearly glues it on.
There is a box set on Ebay that i have seen that has the numbers "123" and then bean looks like he is trying to stand on them or something, but when or if i get it, i'll post again and let people know.
I have the 10th anniversary edition and it has no noticable cuts. Mine says R2, 4.
It's a great edition for the price.

To tell the truith everyone on this website keeps going on about this edit in the episode "Do It Yourself Mr Bean"! I don't think this scene was never in the original transmission in the UK or the USA because I just think this was a deleted scene that got shown once on Amercian TV (my opinion the TV in Amercia is crap picture & crap channels & programmes)! If people in Amercia see the picture quility on TV in the UK they would be amazed.

The Region 1 boxset is called "The Whole Bean". It's a misleading title. There's two scenes I can recall that are not on there.
For the Christmas episode, they cut out the scene where Mr Bean wins the turkey by guessing how much it weighed.
For the New Year's episode, he goes to a store to buy stuff to spruce up his apartment. They removed the scene that shows how he actually got the chair.
Theres a dutch release of Mr Bean which includes every episode aired (with the exception of comic relief episodes) I found mine on ebay. It has dutch letterinig on the front and inside the dvd cases, but you can view the menus in english and every episode is english aswell.I got mine for about £12! I thought it was a bargain. It includeds no cuts as far as i am aware of and included the extra scene which is cut out of the christmas episode when you see him buy the turkey.

I love the part when he is trying to buy that recliner for his apartment and the old couple just beat him to the chair. He then proceeds to do whatever it takes for them not to purchase it.

The DVD is region to so it will play on UK DVD players. The episodes themeselves are in english and when you select english from the languages menu, all the episode names are in english aswell.

Here in Holland we have the Mr.Bean collection, which has all the episodes (I believe uncut) on 3 DVD's, as well as the best bits, a nice documentary, and the library and busstop parts.

I want to know if the dvd's released in the uk, 1, 2, 3, 4, dvd's are uncut and no parts have been cut out just like the old video releses. If anyone has all of them could you tell me if they are. I've got the first 2 though, the first one seemed to be in full but i haven't yet looked at the second one, well if the episode with christmas is on one of the dvd's, i suspect 3, then see if they cut the bit out were Bean's weighing the turkey and then we'll know!
