Maybe he was stationed in Mexico for a long time and got used to drinking drinks without ice (Montezuma's revenge and all that). Lol. :)

shareWell the Major served in Vietnam at one point. I know a Vietnam vet who ALWAYS orders his drinks with no ice, because he said when he was over there, any ice that was ever available was NOT fit for use, it was full of nasty stuff, so during his time there, he just got used to not using any ice in his drinks, and he's used to that to this day still, so it's just the way he prefers his drinks now. When you serve many years in the military and you live under conditions that are less than desirable, you get used to a lot of things other people don't.
