My favourite songs are

'Vacation'
'Don't worry bout the pain'
'Father Bloopy'
'Pancake Day'
'High Forks night'
'Pixie Paul'
'Robin Hood'

:D

'Pancake Day' is a very special song, many people can recall that one quite easily.
I really like 'Robin Hood', it's a great imitator of Bananarama, which would have meant so much back in those days.

The Whitish Knight!!!

"He was dressed in white
And he was a knight
That's why they called him
Oooh oooh
The white knight

He had a white horse
And of course
Matching accessories
Oooh oooh
The white knight"

Robin: Hang on, hang on, he's not white! He's a sort of creamy beigey colour.
Little Ron: Yeah! The creamy beigey knight.
Marian: You can't call him the creamy beigey knight, it's ridiculous.
Robin: Well you certainly can't call him the White Knight, that's a zonking great fibberoony.
Marian: Well, what can we call him then?
Litte Ron: The Whitish Knight?
Marian: Hmmm... OK. Now let's get on.

"Oooh oooh
The whitish knight"

Of course they've brought forth juniper berries, they're juniper bushes!

reply

"He's Popular", from "The Sharp End Of A Cow" in Series One, was also excellent. Sadly I can't remember all the words.

Of course they've brought forth juniper berries, they're juniper bushes!

Come on guys, does no one love Colin's Release 'charity' single:

Colin! We're call-in out your name,
Without your happy clucking, out lives won't be the same.
Colin! Its up to folk like me,
If we all give lots of money, then Colin will be free!

Best episode by far...

reply

also liked Guy's entry into the Worksop Song Contest. something like
Ding a ling a ling. Dong-a-long-a-long
I'm a little silly and this is my song.

The judges (Rabies) said it was a pleasure to hear some intelligent lyrics for a change

I remember one song vaguely, not sure what it's called or what episode it's from, but it goes something like this...

stick a hedgehog down your knickers, u can feel it's little prickles,
stick an earwig in your armpit, feel how the beggar tickles,
sitting in a bowl of maggots, its a wibbly wobbly jelly,
swallow an eel and u can feel it wriggling in your belly.

Or something like that. i still sing it to myself now!!!

reply

^ almost perfectly word for word! :D
(it's just the chorus though)

Iiiif your hedgehog's lost his nostrils
and his arms and kneecaps too!
And all you've got is a piece of grot
you use to clean the loo
don't cry your little eyes out
just follow my advice
and do this selection of amusing things
And everything will turn out nice!

shoooove your hedgehog down your knickers! (etc)

If a soldier chops your nose off
Or you peel a hard boiled egg
That's soft and runny and you feel all funny
when the yolk runs down your leg
If you eat a ferret sandwich
And the ferret eats your tongue
Then do this selection of amusing things
And everything will soon be fun!

chorus

:D

god some of these songs are pretty disturbing lol

Reading this bored really brings back a lot of memories cant wait to get the DVDS. I love the Cardigan of the gods songs. ‘How I’ve wanted to loosen your hair and to take off you carrdie.’

And for some reason I remember the song that Gary and Graeme have to sing about Luxemburg. But now I can remember guys song contest song. Lol I also loved the hedgehog song.

I may be dead but i'm still pretty

reply

Arggh, have disturbing mental image of Danny John Jules wiggling about topless in the Father Bloopy episode. What WAS that song?

(They were trying to break down the dungeon door with a huge King John jelly baby).

reply

That was Dont you worry bout the Pain. It was very funny the way Marian said Barrington put you shirt on and theres people watching.

The bridge song (don't remember the title)

Gotta get across
Gotta get across
Gotta get across
Gotta get across
Gotta get across

The merry men shut their eyes and scratched their heads
and started thinking.
The problem was to get across the river
without sinking.
They wanted to rob from the really rich
but the river was deep and wide.
And the road to the castle (Sheriff:- neh neh neh neh neh)
lay on the other side.

Can't remember second verse apart from Marion saying
We'll build a mighty bridge
with SOMETHING(cant remember)and hand rails for us.
Then folks will come from miles around
and all join in the chorus.

gotta get across (repeated several times)

Then at end of song despite living in forest they had run out of wood and bridge looked like diving board (Marion's words) and then they sent Rabies to chop a tree down while they all went fishing.

reply

"Here comes Pixie Paul
and his little wife Linda
with a cake for you......

(cant remember the middle bit)

so! dont be late
take the cake
take the plate
and give some to your friends!"

and the theme tune was great too! All together now...

"Marian! Why dont you carry on......

dah dah dah (cant remember the middle bit again)

Oh! Marian..............(oh Marian)"

Father Bloopy is definitely the best one!

"To good girls and boys he gives presents and toys... but if you've been bad he will kill you!"

Say you'll come and set me free.
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

reply

I love Don't Worry Bout the Pain, that's great. Also love the Double Shuffle song from series 3. Do Guy's songs in Rotten Rose 1 and 2 count? They crack me up! But my favourite is the one - and I can't remember the chorus - it's the one where Barrington sings "Oh I wish they'd just step outside and get covered in a snow drift ten feet wide" and the Sherif and King John step out and get covered in snow. That's fab.
