I feel Disney is still doing this with all the Disney Channel stars. Ever notice a handful of them appear on the Disney Original Movies. Brenda Song, Ashley Tisdale, the girl from Liv and Maddie, and Debby Ryan to just name a few, usally get first pick on movies before they start auditions.
