Does anyone remember an episode with Leon Russell as a mysterious character where Corky goes out one night and interacts with him? I liked it very much, and the song Russell sang. His passing today brought it back to mind.

It was Leon Redbone. The episode was "Corky's Travels" (season 2, episode 17).
