ok, someone told me that this may have been the show that was rerun on nickolodeon sometimes. i remember the white lion but there was one episode that i absolutely adored and was it part of this show?
there was a boy and he started talking to this mechanical dragon who ended up becoming "real" and flying away at the end.
any info would be helpful. its been bothering me for years.

Yep, I know the feeling. It was a great story.
This was the sixth episode of the series, titled "Monster Maker." What was different about the episode is that it was one of the few that broke the traditional two-part format of the show. The entire hour was this short film, rather than a half hour of MuppeTelevision & a half hour of The Storyteller.
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS TOO! The exact one, only I didnt know it was an episode. I am dying to see it. It was where he showed how the muppets were made and all that stuff. Does anyone know where to get it?

It is a shame- I think the Storyteller and this one were so original- if only they had continued or were made available on DVD.
