Surprised it was 5 seasons, despite airing for 2 years

In reality, this would've only been 2 or 3 seasons. 5 full seasons would've made the show last until 1994.

well the seasons were not in 24 episodes. they were 13. and they shot in every season but summer.

65 episodes, 5 seasons, 13 a season

They probably filmed 26 episodes at a time and broke them down into 2 seasons each

How long did it take for them to tape one episode? 2-3 days? Were they delivered to the network and aired within a couple weeks or by a month or so?

Actually, they broke after each batch of 13 and had a wrap party, where the cast received gifts of items of clothing with "Hey Dude" on them.

Also, season 2 does differ a tiny bit from season 1 with the addition of the bell tower.

they probably filmed 2 seasons in one setting and it was divided into 2 seasons

They did use an actual dude ranch to film the show

so maybe their time to film on it was limited

They built a set on the property of the dude ranch, but they didn't tape at the actual ranch facilities (except the swimming pool on occasion). The sets were around a mile from the public area. This was done to not disturb the guests.
