Just re-watched a few episodes..

I haven't seen it almost 10 years, but it was one of my favorite shows from my childhood. I still enjoy it as I did, I'm not sure if I want to watch only first season or whole show. I like Harriette and her humour, but I find her face a bit annoying. What things did change to you after re-watching episodes?

I liked the show originally but I find it hasn't aged that well. The early seasons were good but got too weird later on when Urkel started the transformation chamber stories. Urkel's obsession with Laura was considered cute then but it looks pretty creepy and stalker-ish now. Waldo was one of the best characters, had the best personality.

Yeah, later seasons are like sci fi-comedy, considered so dumb, but it's hilarious. I agree, Waldo is awesome. Myra is a bit creepy for Urkel, but also awesome. I remember I'm was always happy when I see her from the show.

I loved the show as a kid, and while I agree that looking at it now Urkel is a little creepy with his stalkerish ways I feel like it has held up to the test of time, at least for me. I wish they would jump on the bandwagon of revamping the series like Full House did. My theory is that not everyone wants to at this point, and that is why it hasn't happened. Then again not everyone from the Full House cast wanted to for the longest time either, and look what has happened since then. :)

Interesting fact about Waldo, he started as the dim-witted sidekick of a bully named Willy in the early days and was only supposed to make a few appearances but he was very popular with fans so they made him Eddie's friend and he became a main character. Funny how both Steve and Waldo were only supposed make a few appearances but became main characters.

Yeah, Steve originally to apear in only one episode, but he hit this show.

My son loved this show when he was a little kid. Waldo was a favorite of his.

My son would repeat Waldo's dialogue for me.

In one episode Waldo had to make a Thanksgiving dinner in his cooking class. Apparently he was quite a cook.

The teacher takes one look at the meal he prepared and says, What a turkey!"

Waldo replied that he didn't mind criticism but, "Please don't call me names!" lol

My kid thought that was hilarious.

It was pretty creepy at the time, if you had any sense. The show was a hot mess.

The early seasons are quite enjoyable, but Urkel is an annoying creep who only became worse as the show went on. The later seasons are too ridiculous, so stick to the early seasons.
