This is the episode where John Nettles appears as Jim Bergerac (2 years after the show had ended) back with the Le Bureau Des le Estrangers though it seems to have been the victim of budget cuts as Jim seems to be the only Detective who works there! Terence Alexander makes a brief cameo as Charlie Hungerford and Nigel Davenport plays a shady racehorse owner which brings to mind his role in the infamous ratings bomb Trainer. I can not think of any other UK tv show that has brought in characters from unconnected shows even if it was in a jokey manner?
