Episodes that makes you cringe?

Two episodes that comes to mind that makes me cringe are...

The episode from Las Vegas (Season 20) where a guy got detained for stealing coins from a fountain, the suspect claimed he was using those coins to get something to eat, the officers let him go but they also made him dump the coins he stole from the fountain, then the suspect decides to go back to the fountain to retrieve the coins he has stolen, then he gets arrested, I was hoping the suspect would just cut his losses and move on.

Another episode that made me cringe was the one from Rancho Cucamonga (Season 21) where the officers went to a disturbance call and the male half had a little bit of marijuana in his possession, the officers were gonna give the man a ticket for the marijuana but the suspect got so belligerent that he requests to go to jail and ends up getting arrested, I can't help but cringe when people make bigger fools out of themselves.

Any suspect that decides to swallow drugs, particularly marijuana. If they didn't eat it, it's likely they would have just went on their way with a ticket.

I agree with you that it can be cringeworthy seeing suspects swallowing marijuana considering they're turning a misdemeanor crime into a felony, I also get shocked and appalled when the suspects are swallowing other drugs in hopes of avoiding themselves getting arrested.

I agree with suspects swallowing other drugs thinking they won't be arrested, or even tossing or discarding them somewhere else.

Another episode that made me cringe was the one from Portland, Oregon (Season 25) where a guy got all belligerent with the cop after the cop planned on letting the suspect off with a warning considering the suspect was under the influence of alcohol, this particular officer was one of the nicest I saw on the show COPS.

I thought that was very cringeworthy too. If he didn't get belligerent with the officer, I'm positive he would have just walked home like the cop was planning to do. That cop was one of my favorites too. I think his name is Tommy Stoffel.
