Just a reminder that your tax dollars are paying for these 'stings'

Yep. That's right. Millions of your tax dollars are paying for these obnoxious police officers to sit around in patrol cars on the Vegas strip and harass consulting adults for using their bodies how they want to.

"consulting adults" FAIL

Prostitution is still illegal in Clark county. If you want hookers, you'll have to go to Pahrump with the rest of the white trash.

The OP is also extremely misinformed if he believes prostitution is a victimless crime. Those police stings save lives.

Look, man, I ain't fallin' for no banana in my tailpipe!

reply

The prostitution & drug stings are the least entertaining of all episodes, I don't even watch them. I really don't like the N. Las Vegas or Las Vegas ones either, same stuff over and over.

reply

as far as the drug stings goes I like watching them go after the dealers but not the buyers, I don't like watching the prostitution sting episodes that much either, I am also sick and tired of them filming their episodes in Las Vegas as well, I personally thought the last great season of the Las Vegas episodes was Season 10

reply

But of course they go after the users, that's where they get most of their revenue from. They figure that if you have the money to buy drugs, you should instead give that money to the state in the form of fines and court costs, or else they'll throw you in jail or put a felony on your record. Extortion and blackmail at its finest.

Most women dont bring you lasagna at work. They usually just cheat on you.

reply

The victims in prostitution only happen BECAUSE its illegal. If it was legal, pimps wouldn't beat hoes. Hoes couldn't rob johns. Std's would be tested. The bad things come from making it a crime.

reply

Yes, but you would still have women smuggled into the country to work as prostitutes, in order to fill the now legal need of some men to hire prostitutes.

reply

Those things would still exist even if it was legal do you honesty think making something legal means others won't still illegally do it???? Pimps would still exist they would simply make there prices lower then the legal prostitution places.

Vote Ron Paul.

People can take care of themselves. We don't need big brother coming along telling us what we can and can not do to our own body.

The war on drugs has been a huge waste of time and tax payer money. Some people just want to get high, there's nothing you can do about it.

reply

I personally agree people shouldn't be arrested or taken to jail just for a little bit of narcotics (especially marijuana) in their possession

reply

I agree. It's a waste of jail space.

reply

Seems like a lot of the later episodes are filled with people getting arrested for a small amount of drugs.

reply

Yes, that's what stunk about the last few seasons on Spike/Paramount Network. Those got old very quickly.

reply

Another thing I hate seeing is the police confiscating the drug buyers' vehicles because they used it to score drugs, I don't agree with these people losing their vehicles all because they used it to buy drugs.

reply

I definitely agree right there. I don't agree with vehicles being confiscated just because the owners bought some drugs.

reply

If they were selling large amount of drugs I would understand but if they worked hard for their vehicles that's nothing more than the police being greedy, I didn't like the later seasons on Spike/Paramount network, the Fox network episodes were a lot more interesting.

reply

Large/felony amounts I don't have a problem with but the small amounts of drugs/"This isn't mine" types got old quickly.

The best season on Spike/Paramount Network was season 27 IMO. Season 29 might have been the second-best but all the others were average at best.

reply

I liked Season 27 and thought there was a good number of good episodes from that season, it was definitely an improvement over Season 26 which I thought was boring.

reply

Season 27 was somewhat similar to the COPS seasons from the mid to late 2000s. Season 26 had some good segments but was mostly boring and repetitive.

reply

The only two segments from Season 26 that I really liked was the guy screaming in the bushes and a guy running from the police after being pulled over on a bicycle, the bicyclist had a $50,000 felony warrant for his arrest.

reply

Both of those segments I liked. I thought the middle-aged black guy in the Walmart parking lot who went on a rant and then got tased was great too.

reply

I remember the middle aged black guy in the Walmart parking lot going on a rant and that he gets tased, I've forgotten all about that episode, at first I thought you were talking about a white guy screaming at the top of his lungs because he was getting a ticket from the police, this also happened at the Walmart parking lot although it was a Season 27 episode.

reply

I've seen both segments.

I actually thought the deputies in the season 27 segment handled most of the situation badly. I thought the man's bipolar disorder caused him to get more violent throughout as he was being put in handcuffs and later the patrol car. I also didn't like the fact that the main deputy was so quick to put him in cuffs because he didn't like his attitude. I believed he escalated the situation.

reply

I can't remember the episode very well but I remember cringing at the suspect screaming and him having a bipolar disorder, I did like seeing the officers not take the suspect to jail at the end and never felt the officers escalated the situation, I may be biased because during the time I first saw the episode the suspect reminded me of a guy who I used to be friends with that had a bipolar disorder and the suspect in that clip reminded me very much of that friend, I remember not being very happy with this friend, since I'm not friends with him anymore I may see the episode differently than before.

reply

He was screaming because he felt the cops were pushing on his knee, possibly causing pain. I'm glad he wasn't arrested too.

I've known a few people that have bipolar disorder and exhibit similar traits, and they're not always easy to deal with. I know what it's like too.

I noticed one of the deputies was cringing trying to put him in the car.

reply

I don't really enjoy dealing with people who have a bipolar disorder and they're not the easiest people to control with, I used to have a bad temper when I was younger but thankfully I can control it a lot better, I now just try to go with the flow and make everyone feel welcome in my presence, I also want everyone around me to have a good time when they're in my company.

reply

I definitely agree that they're not the easiest people to work with. A few of my classmates were Bipolar. When they were doing fine, they were very easy to get along and were friendly. When they had a problem, they were hard to control. I always make people feel welcome in my presence, and never want any problems with anybody.

reply

That is an excellent point.

reply

I actually not against legalized prostitution. The problem with the current state of "street" prostitution is, it's a hotbed of women enslaved by pimps, dependent on their next trick for their next drug fix, and diseases. It's not glamorous or victimless.

The porn industry does a better job of regulating itself, and likely some escort agencies as well. Street ho'ing is just a sad state in general.
