criminals you have the least empathy for?

which criminals on COPS do you have the least empathy for?

The #1 criminal I have the least empathy for was the one from Las Vegas (2008 Season 21) where a guy was cruising around a parking lot in a minivan with its lights off, the officers did a traffic stop on the vehicle and it turned out the suspect actually robbed the owner of his vehicle as well as his belongings and the owner of the vehicle was in a wheelchair! He also had a mask on him as well as a firearm (the suspect is a convicted felon who has just gotten released from prison for home invasion robbery)!

The suspect also made threats to kill the victim and his family

George Floyd.

You hold a gun to a pregnant womans belly, have 9 felonies and last day on earth do fentanyl and meth I have 0 sympathy for you and your shitty life choices

reply

that drunk hispanic guy in the parking lot at night who wouldn't obey the police officer. I think he grabbed the police officer, something like that.

reply

I also felt no sympathy for the guy from Portland, Oregon (Season 25) who'd gotten arrested for a DUI, the officer was gonna cut him loose but the suspect decided to have an attitude towards the cop which got him arrested for a DUI.

reply

Was that the segment which started with the driver spinning his tires, and then he and the officer talking about classic cars and how he used to own a Grand Torino? If so, the driver almost got a ticket but talked himself into going to jail by getting mouthy. I thought he was just going to get a ticket. I really liked the cop in the segment. He was very cool with both suspects.

reply

That was indeed the segment, I remember the suspect was driving a classic Ford Maverick, I totally cringed when the suspect got mouthy towards the officer which led to him getting arrested.

reply

The ones who commit crimes. ;-)

reply

The one man from the 2007 Kansas City segment who nearly killed the one officer in a shootout. He was also a carjacker and murdered someone in cold blood days earlier. I was happy to see him get bit by the K9 in the garage. At least the officer wasn't injured too bad.

reply

How can I forget to mention that episode, I never knew he was wanted for murder but knew he was wanted for carjacking, I wonder how much prison time he ended up getting, I really enjoyed seeing him get bit by the K9 in the garage along with the officers really going off on him.

reply

He got sentenced to 45 years for his crime spree. He was pretty much a career criminal based on what I read.

reply

I think 45 years is a reason prison sentence for this guy, guys like him don't belong on the streets that's for sure.

reply

I don't have empathy for any criminals. They hurt people psychologically, financially, and physically. They need to be put away where they can do no harm.

reply

what about those getting arrested for drug possession?

reply

I also didn't have any sympathy towards the suspect from Spokane, WA (Season 16) where a heavyset male was running from the police at a high rate of speed, then the suspect starts tensing up while the police were trying to arrest him, then the officer tases him, the suspect claims that it hurt, the suspect was obviously pissed off at something, it makes me wonder what kind of person he is out in public, I believe if the suspect just pulled over and cooperated he would've gotten off with a ticket.

reply

I actually felt sorry for the guy because he said he hated the world, which led me to wonder if he had a mental illness. However, Rob Boothe, the main officer in the segment said in the 20th Anniversary DVD he has been tased numerous times since then. I want to say he was a good cop, but he was later accused of kicking a suspect, although he's with the Spokane police today. Agree that he should have just pulled over and cooperated.

reply

I did hear about Rob Boothe getting in trouble for being accused of kicking a suspect, I'm glad he's still with the Spokane police today, I did like Rob Boothe and felt he did whatever he could to get the suspect under control, I do feel the suspect had some anger issues, I do recall seeing Rob Boothe saying the suspect hasn't learned his lesson since then since he has been tased numerous times since, I live just over 2 hours from Spokane and I would hate having to deal with the suspect.

reply

I think every one of the officers handled it very well. You'd think the suspect would have learned his lesson, especially how he'd been shot, stabbed and socked and saying that getting tased was the worst of all of them.

reply

Doesn't seem like that he has, I can't imagine seeing tased hurting worse than getting shot, stabbed and socked, makes me wonder why he hates the police so much.

reply

Me too.
