Why doesn't anyone ever acknowledge the camera?

If I was getting busted, I'd definitely acknowledge the big tv camera in my face... in some way or another.

There was one old episode (mid 1990's) from Kansas City where a parolee with the birthmark on his face was acknowledging the camera.

I don't know why the cops don't acknowledge the camera. The perp says "you did this, I didn't do this but yo did this" and it's all filmed showing he's wrong but the cop NEVER says "dude, we have it all right here on camera, you're busted."

It happens but it's often edited out. But I've also read that sometimes in the heat of the moment they often don't realize there's a camera until later.

But also if the officer or suspect is playing to the camera too much they're told to stop recording.

My guess is it's edited out as well. On Live PD I have seen them acknowledge the camera, and my city has a local COPS like show and they acknowledge it a lot too. I also think people are also used to it more than they were in the past, so people aren't as surprised to see a camera. I'm surprised more people don't want their face blurred out after getting arrested.
