I just realised, how is Zipper the Fly not like real flies?

Flies are insects that bite people and animals for blood and primarily they feed on anything that's just died or just meat in general. Zipper is like a paradox of the real fly, he doesn't do any of that sort and he doesn't even look like a fly, he's got a dog nose. :p
