Wasn't there another show like this?

About a kid named Johnny that teamed up the standard black basketball player, 7-up's Spot and Big Foot (the monster truck) and trapped video game monsters in game carts?

dude i remember that too!! i think that was like a similar show, might have been part of the live show where kids competed at playing video games!! god tv shows were so great back then, what happened?!?!?! give kids what they want and are into! tv needs to stop trying to control what kids want to watch and just give in!!

So dude, i found what you were talking about, because I LOVE to look up my childhood!! neminiscing is fun!!! anyways, it was on the show "Video Power" where kids played video games against each other, Johnny Arcade was the host, and they had a cartoon on the show with the "Power Team" where they had the Big Foot truck, Kwirk the red guy, tyrone from Arch Rivals, Max Force from NARC, and Kuros from Wizards and Warriors. look it up here:

I remember this show too (here they were restricted to Acclaim/LJN characters). I'd love to see it again.

I used to watch Video Power all the time. It was nowhere near the quality of Super Mario and Captain N but it was entertaining at least.

I was just researching this show to. I remember being disapointed when they switched to the game show format. I preferred the cartoon and Johny Arcade giving you Nintendo game tips.

One thing I rememeber about the game show was that the kids playing would find nintendo games and keep them as prizes...I always wanted to play that game so bad just to win the games.
