they should make a movie about this

I think they should make a movie loosly based on this show. i know it wasnt popular or anything like transformers was, but i thinkj it could be done

It has its fans, but video games came so far since they made this, they'd have to think about if they wanted to modernize it or just go for people who remember the really old games.

If there was a movie of the series, it could include more NES charaters along with the Captain N team. I haven't seen Season 3 yet, but only the first 2 seasons.

In my opinion, a Captain N movie should have an entirely different NES villian instead of using Mother Brain.

Dunno about a movie, but they should at least make some kind of a remake. It could keep a lot of the old N-Team, but have more modern-day characters, like Banjo and Kazooie or the DK crew.

A remake with more modern games could be done. A movie with the same characters probably wouldn't sell a lot of tickets though. The only ones who will want to see it are the older fans of the show. Maybe some younger gamers might be interested in the premise, but they'll want references to newer games (which aren't nearly as fun as the older ones that the TV show was based on).

They should definitely make a remake of this GREAT show. It's so epic.

I wouldn't mind a remake, in theory, but I think it would do poorly. Citing an earlier comment "Video games have come so far", I don't think it's true at all. I think, more than anything, they've fallen so far. Finding a game of any real challenge is next to impossible, and they're pouring out a lot more crap games than good ones. And the few good ones out there get horrible reviews by game critics, thus are never played.

Bring in next the complete bastardization of the Mario and Zelda series over the years, and things just get worse. There's a certain point in the life of a game where it just needs to be allowed to die with dignity, and keeping it going any longer not only tears down the series, but future installements (Street Fighter 2, and it's dozen sequels of the exact same game.) At least Capcom knows what it's doing. Make 8 or Megaman games, and then reboot the series. Mega Man, X, Battle Network, Legends, each is its own seperate continuity, and if you don't like it, wait a few years and they'll make a new one.

If anything, I'd like to see the series remade, but, redo the characters more realistically as they were at the time. Which means, no changing any names, no adding stuff from games outside of the time it was made, and it probably wouldn't hurt to fix Mega Man and Kid Icarus' speech impediments.

Interesting sidenote, from what I understand, the Link and Zelda from Captain N are the same ones from the Super Mario Bros Super Show. It has to gall Link to no end that he spent a few years trying to get Zelda to kiss him (Succeeding only when an evil Zelda clone did it), and yet Kevin is there less than a day and she's all over him.

That's exactly what I was thinking years ago when the series was brand new. Unfortunately, I don't think it would work now. I just don't think there's enough people familiar with it in this day and age, especially given how oldschool the games based on it are. A film with a similar concept might work, though.

Considering how violent today's games are, is that a good idea?

Well, that didn't stop them from making films based on "Resident Evil," "Mortal Kombat," "Doom," "House of the Dead," "Alone in the Dark," "BloodRayne" (the latter three of which shouldn't have been made at all, or at least had the director they had), "Hitman," "Silent Hill," etc.

"Captain N," on the other hand, was just good clean family fun.

That's my point. Are they gonna bring M-rated games into this?

Well, not if it were based on "Captain N" or on any movie given a "Captain N" feel to it. It was a kid's show, for God's sake; any movie based on it would have to have no rating higher than PG. If they were to bring M-rated games into it, that would be like Disney releasing an animated slasher film. Not that I have anything against M-rated games, of course, but there's a time and place for them, neither of which is in "Captain N."

Despite the rise in violent video games, there's still plenty out there which aren't violent (excessively, anyway) and fall into the E or T rating.

Cool, thanks...although I now have a mental image of Samus Aran snuggling Kirby and/or Pikachu to her chest.

Woman's chest + 1 or 2 chubby round guys = "big boob" effect. :D

Just something the animators might try to sneak in.

Believe me, I don't think they'd "sneak" it in; I think it would be blatantly obvious. As a Japanese creation, Samus is typically drawn in anime style; i.e., her boobs are already ginormous.

Or they could do a new series for today's generation with new characters.
