Katie Rich Last Episode

In the episode "Hacker" Elaine Grazzo's character is fired when a hacker plays a prank on the company, while trying to develop a computer game based on Booker's reputation. It is later made clear that this was all computer error because of the hacking, but she never returns after this episode. Suzanne Dunne, who was played by Lori Petty came in to be Booker's new temp secretary. Does anyone know if there were plans to bring back Elaine if there was a 2nd Season? Katie Rich's name is kept in the credits throughout the series, so I'm not sure if there were pland for a return or just a contract in her name to be credited.

She was actually in the very next episode, "The Life and Death of Chick Sterling" as well. I believe it is mentioned in the next episode that Elaine ran off and got married while Suzanne comes in to fill her role as a "temp".

As a viewer going through the series right now, it seems to me they were working on revamping the show or giving it an overhaul. Richard Grieco and Lori Petty had a lot of chemistry in their earlier episodes, so I'm sure bringing her in was to capitalize on that while Elaine was a pretty weak character storyline-wise.

I think if the show had continued another season, Katie Rich would not have been back and Lori Petty would have been a permanent cast member. I think it was just the first of many changes to come had the show survived.
