Ending similar to...

I think the ending of this series (which, by the way, is one of my favourite TV series' of all tiem) is very similar to that of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which was made 20 years before in 1969. A fine homage to a very fine movie.

Anyone else agree? Or has this been stated before by the production team?

It is also rather similar to the ending of Blakes 7.
