Baldrick is absolutely hilarious. I have to say, though, I really enjoy the smarter Baldrick much more than the completely de-evolved version in Goes Fourth. Even in the 3rd series he was more aware of his circumstance (like when Blackaddar quit and Baldrick finally mouthed off to him)

I'm the opposite - I preferred it when he was at his dumbest; to me, he was a lot funnier.

He is just too ridiculously stupid in this, was at his best in Blackadder 3.
