whywould lydia call beetlejuice her friend?

i haven't seen this show in awhile, but wasn't lydia repulsed by him in the movie? why would she like him after the movie?

The movie & the show are two different things. In the show, it's pretty much like the movie never happened. So.....things are different.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. Another is that something major happened in between, and they ended up the better for it.

beetlejuice was more or less a good guy in the cartoon

my question is if the Maitlands are totally missing from the cartoon, then HOW exactly did lydia meet Beetlejuice in the first place in the cartoon???

They were going to have a movie linking the cartoon & movie but Keaton & Berton got caough up in the Batman movies. But now that Universal owns Beetlejuice we might get lucky & they will bring him back in something other then the stage shows ( witch are cool thow)

Wait, I thought Warner Bros. still owned Beetlejuice, aside from the stage show.

Warner Bros. Was jsut the distribator. The movie saids copyright Geffen & Universal bought them out so they own everything Geffen did

LOL I was thinking the same thing! She seemed repulsed by him in the movie but liked him in the cartoon, you read my mind! 
