Recently saw the film for the first time: brilliant TV. But it was, and is, an impossibility for a foreign lawyer formally to represent anyone in a court case in Thailand. Only a Thai lawyer can do that. Also Thai executions, as we know from the memoirs of the Last Executioner, were not carried out as shown in the movie. Incidentally, Thailand has not executed any foreigners since the early 1970s - a Japanese trafficker.
