Eric Idle I think was better than Pierce IMO!

Sure Pierce was the star of the mini-series but I think Eric Idle was the best reason to watch the mini-series as he had to carry most of the work and Pierce seemed to be stiff at times. Eric is more flexible as Pierce, despite really fitting in as Phileas Fogg, just seemed kind of stiff and dry. That is just IMO as this is how I fell in love with Eric! Despite Pierce being in about every scene.

I watched this too just because of Eric. I just love when he talks with a french axent!

the annoying fish.

He has a very cute French accent indeed! We both are right!

I don't know why they stopped airing this on tv
It used to show all the time!

His "French" accent stinks.

This is how I came to like him and Monty Python.

The casting was perfect. I thought both were fabulous in their roles and the extreme contrast in the two personalities is part of the charm

Phileas Fogg is supposed to be stiff and dry.
