Favorite Moments of the Original Show

I used to love watching Malibu get rocked in the Human Cannonball event. Then the rules were changed so that competitors had to remain in a tucked position.

My favorite moment was when one contestant made it up the cargo net in, like, five seconds. I wish I could remember his name. He owned that net!

"Can I borrow a cup of vodka?"

Mine was when contender Darrell Gholar (former greco-roman wrestling champ) beat Nitro in the Conquer ring!

Hey, that is one of the worst moments of the show! Nitro was one hell of a competitor! I mean, he had an attitude, but he did what he did in the name of competition, and I applaud him for that. NITRO IS THE MAN!

My favorite moment in the show was when Turbo punched that jackass Kyler Storm in the face during SwingShot in Season 7. There is a HUGE debate on this clip on YouTube.

Another one of mines, well, it's not even a moment, anything with Tower in it, anything. Oh yeah, Hawk too...

Always an active duty Jr. American Gladiator!

siren comes aboard - i wish we could have seen the moment where she discovered the crowd knew she was deaf and they had been waiting for her.

season 6(it had a few good moments) - mike adamle running the gauntlet. imagine if he had gotten through for 10 points. nitro coming home. siren beating 4 men in skytrack.

joe mauro/mark ortega eliminator showdown - greatest ending EVER.

the season 3 intro from john harlan: "ladies and gentlemen. from gladiator arena in los angeles, california. here are your american gladiators." and then alternating between the men and women.

The most amazing play I've ever seen on American Gladiators was Kyler Storm jumping and flipping OVER Turbo in Breakthrough, landing on his feet in the end zone. This was a special former champions episode, I think his opponent was Wesley Berry. I liked how all the gladiators watching from the sidelines came up and congratulated him for that one! Looking at the replay, he timed it perfectly because you see Turbo with his arms open, and just as Turbo's going to wrap him up and take him down, Kyler jumps and Turbo grabs at nothing but air. There were also humorous moments, like Purple Roundy sticking his tongue out and putting his thumbs in his ears toward a Gladiator after reaching the top of the wall. And on at least one occasion, a contender actually lost his pants during Hang Tough.

One of my favorite moments was when the Gladiators were playing international people around 1995 or 1996

It was during Powerball, Laser tackled this huge, huge guy (maybe Finnish?) and the guy landed on his back with his knees and feet up in the air. And Laser landed on the guy's feet (like if you were playing Airplane with a little kid). Then the Finnish dude kicked his feet up and launched Laser about 2 feet in the air. Laser landed flat on his back, totally stunned.

That was so amazing. I'd love to see it again

I seem to recall reading that Turbo had a confrontation with another contender, Remy Smith . . . what was that about?

And I remember one time Tower was taken out of the conquer ring.
