They should definitely revisit this material, there is a lot they could do with the premise. If they can remake shows with with lousy premises like say, Knight Rider they can remake Alien Nation. Its not like there is a shortage of issues the premise could deal with if there was a remake.

Right what I would like to see (which ever way they might go)
Part I The background of the slaves, life on the ship, first meet George, Susan & Kathy, ending with the crash landing.
Part II The slaves going though BNA, the problems with same, getting use to earth etc
Part III George first newcomer detective, etc. uopdate

A few years back they were talking about a 3 part Forbidden Planet movie(s) remake
Where we would see Pt 1 when Dr. Morbius and the rest left earth, then what happen with the ID monster, Pt 2 when Commander Adams and his crew first started the trip
to Altar etc & Pt 3 the more or less original film
