I've only seen this once (man, it was cheesy!) it was set in the Philipines - sorry about the spelling - but didn't a voice on the radio tell people that the nearest rescue station was in Texas? That's a mighty long way to go, folks!

I think that there were so many directors (uncredited) on this project that they let ridiculous errors like that go unchecked. I had gotten the impression it took place in Spain until I was informed by one of the scientists that they were worried that the contagion might spread to America or Europe. What a schlock movie!

The end of the film where the radio DJ turns into a zombie and starts talking about the new world order actually creeped me out a little and I hardly ever get scared by movies.
