Say what you will about Emilio Estevez

He kicks ass in this film! He was born to play Billy the kid. I don't care what *beep* movie he's done since Young Guns, he's forever in my cool book.

If this was 24 hours ago, I might agree with you. But base on how much of a douche he's been acting, I have to say he's burnt his last bridge with me as a fan.

reply

Agreed. He's a train wreck.

well your not much of a fan than, who the hell needs you anyway.

Cult Leader my mind's frightening, I drink blood from a human skull like a Viking

reply

I'm not a Charlie Sheen fan no. Sheen dates porn stars, do drugs and rant online. Train wreck. Not exactly the kind of person I look up to.

Emilio however is great.

Whatever you do, no matter how good you are at it, how you act as a person and the personal choices you make will always affect the way people look upon you. He's a decent actor, yes. But I'm not a fan of him. Not the way he's living his life. For me, the two are connected.

It may not be hating these actors movies. But based upon the public personal behavior that they display. For example Mel Gibson's rants came before several movies including edge of darkness. Now I saw that movie at a friends house and enjoyed the movie and his acting, however I would not spend my money supporting his behavior by going to the theater and paying money to support him. People have a right not to support an actor based upon their personal feelings towards that particular actors public meltdowns. Not wanting to support that actor does not equate to hating their projects.

I agree with the older stuff. But I can see why it's hard toseperate the public and movie persona with the person.

reply

I completely agree. He was by far the most interesting and fun aspect of this movie.

for me Emilio was deffo the star of show, but the whole cast made the film what it was for me also,

regarding there personal lifes, honestly, i couldnt give a monkeys & makes no difference to me, if i had the money they have, i would be a fecking mess by now also, hell, i dont have that cash and still manage to be a nightmare on a regular basis, get over it you judgemental nabs, were human beings, and have been causing a ruckus since our arrival

Emilio IS still cool in my books.

gah Estevez was terrible
Another movie to add to my list of my movies where Estevez sucked.

Only good thing I've seen him in so far is D2: The Mighty Ducks, and I was a kid.

Sheen may be a crazy washed up loser now, but he's been in a slew of good/great movies in the past.

Funny how things turn out.

Physically Emilio did not look like Billy The Kid - Dermot Mulroney look more like Bill The Kid - But Estevez was there do make us forget the real Billy and play him on his interpretation of the character. That is what acting is all about.

Yeah, Emilio is awesome as Billy The Kid. He's the right mix of being likable and charismatic but also a rogue, rambunctious a-hole, like Han Solo in the original star wars.

The supporting cast are just as good. Lou Diamond Philips is amazing as Chavez, his speech about what they did to his tribe is just really great acting. Keifer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen also chip in and add to the ensemble. All of them have so much attitude and charm, really bad ass cowboys. The quality of the acting is what makes this movie. I used to prefer Young Guns II when I was a kid, but this one is far superior.

There's only one man who'd DARE give me the raspberry
