Favorite Quote?

I think there`s no thread about it, so I decided to start one. The movie is full with brilliant quotes, agree?
Mine is
"You gotta test yourself every day" - so meaningful and ever true.
'Live every day as it is your last one, because sooner or later you`ll turn to be right' '

reply

I totaly agree. Hard to pick the best ones.

*After Billy letted Doc writing a long letter about surrender*
"P.S. I changed my mind. Kiss my as!" And starts laughing.
Briljant, in my opinion.

"He is not worth moore then 10, but i´l take it."

*After Billy killed Henry Hill*
"By the way, your´e under arrest!" Starts laughing.

"If you stay here they kill you! And then i have to kill everyone that killed you! Thats alot of killing."

Dawn of the Dead ´78 is the best movie ever.

we're in the spirit world *beep* they cant see us

reply

"You know pigs are as smart as dogs? It's true! I once knew a guy who trained his pig to bark at strangers!"

reply

When they were eating dinner and they asked Billy why he killed someone and he said "He was hackin on me". His look and the guys reactions are priceless. I also love when dirty steve is talking to his horse while on peyote "Hey dog, dog, did you see the size of that chicken?" BOOM shotgun goes off. Great stuff.

reply

haha, one of my favortie lines too. It took me a bit time to realise that Steve was shouting to his horse - dog, not Doc:-))

'Live every day as it is your last one, because sooner or later you`ll turn to be right' '

reply

Wow! I found out just now! Thanks.

Dawn of the Dead ´78 is the best movie ever.

I probably don't remember to mention all I wanted to.

YOUNG GUNS:

"Qayate, Chivato."
^
I especially love the tone Chavez says this. :'D

"Yeah, I bet it is. And I'm sure in your mind you hear trumpets sound and angels sing a fargin', and I $hit my goddam breeches! Okay?"
^
And I love the way Doc is completely the opposite of Billy and obviously not ashamed of it. :D

"Court adjourned."
"MORON! You're a lawman, you son of a bitch!"
(xDDD)
^
Both lines individually and together. And I LOVE how Dick tried to be all tough with Billy with absolutely no success. xD

"Wanna close those f_ucking lips
for a goddam second and let me think!"

^
Go, Dick... :'D I love this scene all the way from the beginning to the end. Dick was all tough but at this point already panicking and Billy all calm and pleased. xDD

"Alex, if you stay here they're gonna kill you. And then I have to go around and kill all the guys who killed you. And thats alot of killing."
^
This because it actually gives another point of view to him. It reveals his consciense is not that empty/gone after all.

"Billy, we're good but this is getting ridiculous."
^
So they sent in the troops... :'D

YOUNG GUNS 2:

"Quit napping on the job, Bob!"

"You should have seen the short job I did on Bob Ollinger. Spread him out like Tulurosa." [And the exploding effect he imitates. xD]

"Yohoo. I'll make you famous."

"Ok, guys, put your guns away and look respectable."
^
That is just too *beep* hilarious especially from his mouth to other outlaws.

"Remember something, Pat. You'll never be me. You'll only be the man that shot Billy the Kid."
^
Gotta love this. Served Garrett right to be reminded he'd be nothing more than a seconday celebrity, still in Billy's shadow even after he'd be dead. :P

And of course I'd wish this had been left to the movie too and not just the trailer:
"The entire country is reading about our territory every day in the journals. And they're not reading about our growths toward statehood! What they are reading about is a 21-year old delinquent, who's making us look like imbeciles!"

<3

"Oh, the cleverness of you."

reply

"Ok, guys, put your guns away and look respectable." - who said it? I can`t remember hearing it;(
wow, you have so many favorite lines chivato...just like me;-)

And I didn't even think of all of them, as that would be impossible to remember, the movies are full of awesomety. :P

Billy said that. When deputy Carlyle came (with the lynch mop) to Greathouse's and wanted to come in and talk to him.

PS.
Btw, I'm AngelJunior from FF.net. (:

"Oh, the cleverness of you."

reply

AngelJunior! Hello again!
Though, I should have known it was you by your style!lol;-)
Haha, now I can remember that line...funny!
Heck, is there a movie with a better lines?! I just wonder...But that could be the most quotable movie of all times in terms of good lines IMO...especially the second part...but they both were just great!

'Live every day as if it is your last one, because sooner or later you'll turn to be right' '

reply

I totally agree. :P

Btw, forgot to mention... as I don't like Henry William French's character really, this is absolutely hilarious:

Dave: "Henry William French! You've never killed anybody - they won't shoot at you!"
Henry: "Go to Hell. They shot Tommy!"

x'D

"Oh, the cleverness of you."

reply

I'm not gonna repeat any but I love 'em all!

"Buenos Dias Sh*theads!"
(Said by Dick after the catch two Murphy Men (just added it in the quotes section.) I love the tone he says in!

And anything that Chavez said I like!

While there fighting Buckshot Roberts-
Doc:"Chavez!"
Chavez:"What." I love how he says it!

And of course the infamous line
"DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THAT CHICKEN?"

Did you see the size of that chicken?

"AHHH!!!! AHHHH!!!"

reply

"Hey Peppin...I see you got Charlie Crawford down there"-Billy
"Yeah we got him Bill" - Peppin
--Billy shoots Crawford right between the eyes--
"Hey Peppin!!...Charlie Crawford ain't with you anymore"-Billy

This is by far one of the best quotes ever

reply

When the army or whatever is marching into Lincoln when they are in the McSween house at the end of the movie and Billy says to Doc, "I like these odds." Doc looks over at Billy like he's nuts. That's a good scene.

reply

^^ Agreed, that was very good line.
Did I mention "If you have 3 or 4 good pals, you got yourself a tribe. There ain`t nothing stronger than that" - I just LOVE this one! And the way he says it, the tone, intonation...so great and true!

We're stuck in here burning alive, and he's out there doing it with his horse!"

reply

Charlie(I love Charlie, btw): It ain't easy having pals.

Charlie: How come they ain't killin us?
Steve: We're in the spirit world, *beep* they can't see us.

Billy: There's many a slip twixt the cup and the lip.

Charlie: Did you know pigs is as smart as dogs? It's true. I knew this guy in El Capitan who taught his pig to bark at strangers.

Charlie: Hey Kenney, you bastard! It's you and I!

Billy: I don't wanna kill you, I wanna eat.

Billy: Reap it, Murphy, you sonofabitch.

Billy: Hey, Colonel *beep* You can kiss my ass.

Charlie: It's John Kenney... I-it's John Kenney... It's John Kenney.(lol)
Doc: Thank you very much, Charlie! Jesus.

Charlie: I'm a pugilist.

Doc Narrating: The epitaph read only one word... 'Pals'.

Plus soooo many more. I just can't remember the exact words. But while I watch the movie I can say every line with them. It get's on people's nerves haha.

reply

Buckshot Roberts: I ain't got no buisness with that war no more...peckerhead sonofabitch! I'm on own.

Y'all forgot
"Please Dick, it's getting cold." That was before they fought Buckshot Roberts.
When he had Doc writing to Governer Axtle. "I changed my mind, Kiss my Ass!"
What makes it even more funny is he laughs right after he says it.

reply

I find myself speaking their lines for them too!
