Holy crap, why is the blu ray so bad???

So I have had the blu ray for a while and finally got around to popping it in and good lord!

It literally looks like they just took the DVD and upconverted it to 1080p! The entire image has pixelation that you can easily notice throughout the movie (especially in the text) and even at times on the faces and such you can notice it.

it's like they just took the dvd resolution and stretched it up to 1080p and didn't even bother making a new print from the source.

Such a huge disappointment, it's just so distracting and I thought the blu ray was supposed to be an upgrade over the dvd.

REally hope they release a new version that's actually remastered and uses a new hd print.

Amen to that.

It's pretty poor for a Blu-ray but it is quite a bit better than the DVD. Here's a comparison of the two...

In the DVD when Dick is reading the paper you can't make any of the smaller print and in the Blu-ray you can just make it out.

If I'd known it was this bad I probably wouldn't have bought it but I only just got around to watching it and now it's too late to return it.
