Sauce in corner of Jack's mouth

Food scenes are always so tricky. The minute something gets on—and stays on—someone’s face, the more I focus on that and the less I focus on what’s going on in the scene. I really wish they’d used/filmed a different take of the “lunch on the street” scene.

I thought it was a crumb from the bun that held his hot dog. It was distracting and I thought it was going to be something significant. But it turned out that the producer just didn't want to reshoot the scene just on that account.

I'm formerly known as HillieBoliday.......Member since May 2006.

I am always grossed out by people who chew or talk with their mouths open, so that scene was not a good one for me! Yuck...and it was distracting, because I never listen/know/remember what he was saying at that point!

I thought the scene was intentional.....but I think you're right, they didn't want to reshoot the scene. How coincidental for the crumb to get stuck to the side of his mouth, and how convenient for the producers to just leave it there...LOL!

"OOhhhooo....I'M GON' TELL MAMA!'

The camera kept lingering on Jack's face, so I figured it HAD to be intentional on the director's part. I kept thinking, "Any second now, she's going to mention the food he has on the corner of his mouth. Maybe she'll giggle playfully and tell him he's got a little something there on his face. Or maybe she'll reach out and sexily wipe it away for him. Hmmm... Any second now..."

*scene ends*

*beep* I have absolutely no idea what they were talking about in that last scene.

*goes back to rewatch scene*

Yeah, watching it tonight and seeing that, I thought maybe there would either be a continuity error where it disappears or that Tess wipes it off his face. It didn't bother me though, I just watched the scene and not looked at that.

I think it was intentional to show that he is a regular guy. Not pretentious like Katherine.
