Was this a wardrobe mistake or was it meant to be?


In the scene where Tess is helping Katherine put on her ski boots...both women are wearing a white buttoned blouse, a dark high-waisted skirt with a black belt and black stockings!
Was this an accident or was it deliberate to showcase that Tess would be able to fit into Katherine's clothing?
Or was there another meaning to it? Or just a coincidence?

I saw it to be that Tess was changing (in a positive light, like learning from Katherine) to a more professional, less gaudy look. Katherine's original assessment of Tess was something like: "You look great. But I'd rethink the jewelry." Then we see Tess taking off the bracelets in the ladies room.

That's how I saw it.

I think it was to show how much she admires and tries to emulate her boss.
