Favourite Moment

As Tears Go By is by far my most favourite WKW's movie, it potrays a very touching triad and love story melodrama. I just wanna share with you guys what I though was the most memorable scene in the movie. It is when Wah accidentally encounters his ex-girlfriend while sheltering from the rain. The conversation that follows and Wah's personal mimic shifting really describes something implicitly. What makes him left in hurry right after the conversation despite it's still raining is kinda pitiful reason for you to guess.

So what's yours?

Actually I have a couple of favourite moments... The kissing in the phone booth is simply too intense and of course Maggie climbing up the stairs

The scene where Fly wrecks the other gangsters car was pretty funny I thought.
Also, holy *beep* does the main character smoke alot. God-damn.

reply

Yeah... and It's been kind of Wong Kar Wai's trademark later that the main characters in his film either male or female do a lot of smoking.

The ending! When Wah is shot at the head and as he fell to the grown, his last memory was his first kiss with Maggie in the phonebooth! A very memorable movie moment!

My favourite moment would be the scene when he takes the cigarette out of her hand. You can feel the love.

i loved the scene when the lp is moved into place in the jukebox, and the cantonese cover version of "take my breath away" begins. I recall a similar scene in "Fallen Angels."
