Is Jeffrey Jones dubbed in this?

Because if not, his English accent is remarkably, almost uncannily good. Fair play to him if it's his own voice.

reply

It sounds like his usual voice that he uses in other movies so I don't believe so. I could be wrong, however he is a very talented actor so I wouldn't put it past him to be able to do any accent he wanted or needed.

reply

Are you North Americans? I liked him in this but his accent was quite terrible. I don't think anyone from the UK would say it was remarkably good.

reply

I agree. Great actor, terrible accent. The fact that he was comic relief in a comedy makes his accent work though, in my opinion.

No, I'm English; oh well, perhaps it's just me then ... I'll have to look out for it again and reappraise my own opinion, although presumably I was struck by it enough to come on here and wax lyrical about it in the first place. Still, it's always possible that his accent was actually terrible and I was just rather drunk.

reply

Didn't strike me as American either when I watched it on DVD - and I failed to recognise him from Ed Wood which I'd owned on DVD for 5 months at the time (he's the first person to appear in the latter, rising from a coffin and talking at the beginning)
